We are pleased to announce that GMA completed the first phase of the MAGYCO project, funded by the Small Medium Enterprise Instrument (SME) Instrument from H2020 EU Framework Programme. It is an innovative system for aircraft attitude determination and navigation. It is a unit manufactured by exploiting Micro Electro Mechanical Sensor (MEMS) technology that is capable of autonomous initial heading determination in stationary conditions. It does not need any aiding from external sensors, such as magnetometers. Magyco is the first system from a new family of products realized to meet both advanced accuracy requirements and reduced price. It is intended for General Aviation, Unnammed Aircraft and future Personal Aircraft.
GMA is strongly committed to seize business opportunities offered by the development of advanced inertial technology. Several investments and a strong development effort has been produced to this aim.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 775495
